Brandon Erbe made his 3rd start for Bowie, after returning from injury, and had his best results last-night.

In 6 innings of work, Erbe allowed 4 hits, 2 er, 2 bb’s, with 4 k’s.

Erbe, who turns 22 on Christmas Day, has one of the bigger arms in the system.

He should continue to log innings as a starter to end 2009, and maybe into 2010, to gain experience. Ultimately though, I wonder if he projects better as a closer.

If you moved him to AAA to start 2010, and inserted him as the Norfolk closer, could he emerge quickly as an option for the Orioles?
