Mason had an exceptional year, where he showed a tremendous amount of leadership, and courage finding ways to say on the field, and make plays with his seperated shoulder.
For the year, he caught 80 passes, for 1,037 yards and a 13 yard per reception average.
Mason turned 35 in January, and has 1 remaining year on his contract.
Ultimately, the Ravens are extremely unlikely to want to bring Mason back for the 2010 season… with 1 year on his deal, he will be motivated to perform again, to earn a contract elsewhere…. but you want him happy enough, that he will not be a disruption in the locker-room.
Before the team could even contemplate a new contract for Mason, you would like to see the Ravens working towards new deals with Suggs, Ngata, Gaither, and Clayton.
