When Wieters joins the team in mid-to-late April… that will mean the O’s have a bench that includes Zaun, Freel, and Wigginton…
If you believe as I do, that the O’s are likely to use a 12man staff… the question arises as to whom is the 4th member of the bench.
If you do not believe that Freel or Wigginton can back-up SS effectively… that will mean that the O’s carry either Chris Gomez or Donnie Murphy.
If the O’s do believe in Freel or Wigginton as a reserve SS, then the O’s could carry Montanez as the 4th member of the bench.
