I was a bit worried that Trembley would be unwilling to use Hernandez in a critical situation out of the bullpen during the immediate near-term. With that in-mind, I appreciated seeing Trembley hand Hernandez the ball with Alex Rodriguez coming to the plate and the game on the line.
Hernandez got the grounder desired and should have been out of the inning. He then came back in the 8th and got two k’s.
It has only been two outings and 3.1 innings, but Hernandez just looks more comfortable in the pen.
