Josh Bell hit his first two Major League homers today against lefty Cliff Lee of the Texas Rangers. Bell had played in 23 previous Major League games, but today might have announced his true arrival.
His first 74 at-bats at this level had been a struggle, and his next 74 at-bats might be as well. What his success today does is remind you of his physical talent. That talent has also been shown with his reflexes at 3rd, along with his powerful throwing-arm.
You have to feel good for Bell breaking through, and showing what he is capable of. Especially with the power coming from his right-side against one of the true Aces in the game.
