A very tough loss for MD fans to swallow today, as the Terps lose 68-63 in Virginia.

With the loss, MD falls to 18-12 overall, and finishes 7-9 in the ACC.

A win, would have almost sealed a bid to the NCAA Tournament.

With the loss, the Terps have obvious work to do at the ACC Tournament next week.

Going into today, Bracketologist Jerry Palm of College RPI.Com and CBS Sports.com had MD in the NCAA tournament as a 10 seed.

He stated yesterday, that the Terps would likely be in the dance with a win at UVA today, even if MD were to lose in the 1st round of the ACC Tournament to Miami or NCST.

With the loss, you have to believe that MD will have to not only win the 1st round game, but also win the Quarter-final game vs Wake Forest or Duke.

Not impossible, but certainly a much harder path than taking care of business vs Virginia today.
