MD had a half-time lead of 40-29, but falls to 2-4 in ACC play.

This game is a devestating blow to post-season hopes for the Terps.

You needed this head to head win against BC, and you needed to get back to 500 in league play.

Terps were a horrible 3 for 17 from 3pt land, and only 6 for 10 at the line.

Vasquez – who had 18 pts – missed a ton of 2nd half shots as he tried to be the leader, finishing the game 7 for 20 from the floor, and 3 of 10 from 3.

Hayes had a miserable shooting night, as he was 1 for 8 from the floor, and 0 for 5 from 3.

Milbourne had 14, Bowie had 12, and Mosley had 10.

Boston College was 18 for 24 from the line.

The Terps had 21 more shots than the Eagles, but made only 3 more.

With this loss, MD will have to win a game you currently expect them to lose.

I had MD having to win tonight, beat Miami and VaTech at home… and win 3 of 4 on the road against GaTech, Clemson, NCST, and UVA to dance.

Now you are basically asking them to win all 4 road games, which will be a tall order.

Tonight was almost a must win game, and MD played well for 25mts… but they came up short, and they will pay for not closing Boston College out when they had the opportunity.

To dance, MD is going to have to win either all 4 road games I mention above (in addition to Miami, and VaTech at home) or win 1 of the 4 games against UNC, Duke, and Wake.

Tonights loss makes dancing improbable, but not impossible.

MD should have beat Miami at Miami.. it is realistic to think they should win at home.

VaTech is 4-1 in conf… they also struggled to beat Gardner Webb, Mt St Mary’s, Navy… MD can win that game at home.

GaTech has some athletes, and some size… but you have beat them once, you can beat them again.

Same applies for UVA.. you have beat them once, you can beat them again.

NCST had a big OT win at home against Miami tonight… Coster is a real player.. not a game MD should win, but certainly a game MD can win.

The hardest game to envision MD winning is at Clemson. Clemson would probably be a 75/25 favorite… but yes, even in that game, MD would have a chance.
