8-8 in the top-rated RPI conference, with 8 Top 100 RPI wins.. including the ACC, and Big 10 champs.. is an NCAA Tourney worthy resume.

Going into last-night, Bracket Project had MD in the tournament on 35 of the 59 brackets, as a consensus 11 seed.

MD appears on the 12 line, because the 11 seeds above them appeared on more brackets, or had more brackets where they appeared as an 11.

The ACC is taking a minimum of 7 teams, and probably 8 when all is said and done… unless there are a ton of mid-major conference tourney upsets…

Look at the RPI, the SOS, the Conference RPI… and the wins vs UNC, and MSU… and compare that to the rest of the bubble… There is a reason why the majority of brackets had MD in prior to last night… and there is nothing about last night, that played MD out.

MD came into this week having to split, and that can still occur.

To give a more accurate visual representation:

8+8+0 (Meaning MD beats UVA, loses 1st round of the ACCT) = 75% chance of MD being in

8-8+1 = lock..

I say the Terps are a 66% favorite to win at UVA… conf road games are always tough.. Senior Night for them… pressure on MD…. MD is a better team, with a better coach, that is actually playing for something… that has already beat UVA once… and UVA has now lost 4 in a row… I have no problem believing that UVA will give a fight, and get up for Senior night and the idea of ‘eliminating’ MD… but MD should win that game.

To those that say 8-8 in a great conference might not be enough.. I say 8-8 in a great conference, with wins over Michigan St and Michigan will be.
