Baltimore Orioles Baseball

Two years ago, I was openly very irritated by the arrival of Alberto Castillo to the Oriole bullpen. I saw a guy that was 32 years-old, had reached High A ball in 1998 and was in independent leagues for the following decade. I could read his stats, and see that he had...

As suggested in this blog last-week, the Orioles will be promoting Alfredo Simon to join the bullpen prior to beginning their series with the New York Yankees tomorrow. While I am still disturbed that Simon opened the 2009 season as the O's 3rd starter, I feel good...

Troy Patton was rocked tonight for AAA Norfolk. In 6.1 innings, Patton allowed 10 hits, 7 er, 2 walks, and 3 homers. With the loss Patton falls to 1-3, with a 8.00 era. I am sure it was disappointing for Patton, as he was coming off a strong 6 inning, 2 run outing his...

I am enjoying the addition of Brady Anderson to the MASN telecast tonight. He has been insightful, and added a nice balance to Palmer's pitching knowledge. It is clear that Anderson has been paying attention this team, and has a good feel for the roster. In particular...

It is inexcusable for the Baltimore Orioles to be 2-15. It is maddening, because the starting pitching (aside from Bergesen) has kept the O's competitive just about every-game. While the injuries to Roberts, and Pie have hurt the offense (and limited the bench), and...
