Norfolk and Durham were rained-out last night, delaying the highly anticipated Wieters vs David Price match-up.
They are facing off this evening, right now in the 2nd inning with Norfolk ahead 2-0. Wieters struck-out in his first at-bat, but his 2nd at-bat was epic. Wieters worked the count full, and then fouled off 6 pitches before walking.
In the first inning, Nolan Reimold crushed his 2nd homerun of the season, knocking in both of the early runs.

Moving up to the AA action for the first-time, prospect Brandon Erbe had his first start of the 2009 season.
His line – 3innings, 1er, 0hits, 4 walks, 1 k.
Erbe – 2008 A ball: 10-12, 4.30 era, 150.2 ip, 120 hits, 151 k’s, 50 walks, 21 homers.
Quality arm, still quite young.. Have to love the hits and k’s per IP. I think he is somewhat frail, and I am not sure he holds up as a starter. Might be a future closer type. With the arms ahead of him in the system, he can spend all of 2009 getting another 150 innings under his belt. By the end of the year he might be line for a promotion, more likely he will follow the path of Hernandez, and Bergesen in 2008. I would not be opposed to using Erbe as trade-bait towards a SS prospect.
1st-baseman Brandon Snyder continued with the hot bat, going 2 for 4 with a double and walk… batting .412 in the early going.
