In the early-game of the Norfolk Tides’ double-header vs Columbus, Rich Hill and Matt Albers combined for an effective outing.
Hill went only 4 innings, allowing just 2 hits, with 0 er, but also had 5 bb’s, and only 2 k’s.
Obviously Hill had issues with his control tonight, but the most important aspect of his start – is that he was able to throw 80 pitches.
I would activate him for a start this coming weekend, but I am sure the Orioles will give him at least one additional AAA start.
Matt Albers came in for relief, and went 3 innings, allowing 0 hits, 0 er, 0 bb’s and had 2 k’s, earning the win.
Wieters was 2 for 3 with an rbi, and Reimold was 1 for 3.
