The Terps, who were within 6pts at half-time, get rocked in the 2nd-half and lose 93-64.

Really was not a matter of Clemson’s depth, or even the drastic height difference (the Terps lost on the boards 32-27)… it was a matter of poor execution on the part of MD, and an in-ability to get defensive stops.

The Terps missed at least 5 point-blank layups tonight, and were only 12 of 18 from the foul-line.

Clemson was on-fire to finish the game, shooting 58% from the floor, and making a total of 12 3-pointers.

This game hurts for MD, but it really does not alter the equation in any way.

MD came into this game 5-5 in the ACC, needing to win at least 3 of their last 6 ACC regular-season games to make a case for the NCAAT.

The Terps will have to beat NCST, and UVA on the road, and win one of the three home games vs UNC, Duke, and Wake Forest.

Getting back to tonight, I thought a lot of Terps played hard, but only Neal might have matched his talent.

The only positive I can take from this game, is that Burney got off the bench, and showed his athleticism… perhaps he can still be a factor for 5-10 mts off the bench as a reserve big.
