Heading into the Fall, any MD fan would have had to have felt good about the depth at TE for the Terrapins.
Things change.
Lansford Watson was lost for the year to injury. Will Yeatman broke a finger, and missed valuable camp time after being away from the game for some-time. Devonte Campbell was dealing with a concussion, and has now suffered a knee injury that could have him out for a month.
There is still some hope with Matt Furstenburg, who was a 4 star recruit in his own right.
One thing I have wondered, is if there are any further TE injuries, would the coaches consider shifting Drew Gloster back to TE from the DL? Gloster was a PrepStar All American, ranked as the 21st best receiver in the nation on ESPN.com, and 30th wr in the country on Rivals.com.
This is probably extremely unlikely based on the reports of how Gloster has adapted to the DL, and some of the injuries there as well.
