MD got a needed 71-60, road victory over the Wolfpack Sunday night.
With the win, the Terps move to 18-10 overall, and 7-7 in ACC play.
MD will be home to face Wake Forest on Tuesday night, and will play at Virginia Saturday.
Despite Milbourne fouling out with over 5mts left in the second-half, and NCST shooting 50% from the floor… MD found a way to win.
That was accomplished by the Terps getting ten 3-pointers, and 33 points from Greivis Vasquez.
Also have to credit Dave Neal, who had 11 points, and 8 rebounds, Eric Hayes who had 9 points, and 4 assists… and Cliff Tucker who had 7pts, including a needed shot-clock beater in the closing mts.
The Terps did not play particularly great tonight, but they did play hard.
When the Wolfpack grabbed their first-lead of the game, mid-way through the 2nd-half.. the Terps responded, and again took control of the game.
This is a mentally strong MD team, that continues to find ways to win.
With one win this coming week, the Terps are going to have a great case for entry into the NCAA Tournament.
