The pre-season is over, and final cuts have been made. Here is your 2010 Ravens roster:

Thoughts:

1) You will note there are 54 names above, I am assuming that Cary Williams does not count against the roster the first two weeks he is suspended, and a corresponding move will have to be made in Week 3 when he returns.

2) On Thursday night I named the 53 names I would have carried in the link below.
http://baltimoresportsandlife.blogspot.com/2010/09/my-53-man-ravens-roster.html
I hit on 47 of the 53 names, which is frankly low.

3) I am assuming Harewood was sent to Injured Reserve with a wink and a smile. I’ll eat my words if he is truly injured, but I believe this is an attempt to stash a player with promise but skills too raw to contribute this year.

4) Talavou likely had a spot on this team prior to his ACL injury Thursday. I would imagine his injury allowed McKinney to make the team.

4a) I am surprised that Divens made the team.

5) The release of Troy Smith became apparent before he took a snap Thursday.

6) I’m happy that Prince Miller made the team over Fisher. I had Fisher on my roster because I figured the Ravens might decide to go with Fisher’s CB experience, once they had obtained another Special Teams weapon in Josh Wilson. Miller gets these first two weeks to show he belongs, or risks being cut when Williams returns.

7) Marcus Smith is a big physical guy that will help on Special Teams. I have a hard time believing he is better equipped to help this team as a receiver over Demetrius Williams.

8) I would have rather placed Stallworth on IR, and kept Barnes.
