The future of the Baltimore Orioles was on full-display last night at Camden Yards, as the battery of Chris Tillman, and Matt Wieters combined to give the Birds the win.
Tillman had 95 pitches over 6.2 innings, allowing 5 hits, 1 er, 1 bb, with no k’s. People might not like the number of flyballs he allowed, but with the movement he had working last-night – batters were not able to square-up on him easy.
Wieters won the game in the bottom of the 9th, with a 2-run homer. Just as impressive as the game-winning shot, was his throw out of Carl Crawford earlier in the game. Wieters’ throw beat Crawford to the bag by 2 steps, something you just do not see.
