As the recruitment for Top 10 National recruit Tobias Harris winds down, AllKYHoops.com has had daily updates and interviews with Harris.

In these latest interviews, Harris stated the following about his visit to Maryland:

He characterized the 89-51 Terps victory over Charleston Southern as, “very exciting.”

After watching the game, he stated, “the team has great guys and their style is uptempo and fun.”

His overall thoughts on the University were, “Maryland is a very nice campus and there are great people there. I really enjoyed my time.”

Harris will announce his decision this Thursday. This past Thursday, Keith Cavanaugh of the Terrapin Times stated on the Bob Haynie (WNST 1570) show that Ashton Pankey will likely sign with the Terps this Tuesday.

If Pankey signs with Maryland on Tuesday, and Harris announces on Thursday his intentions to sign with one of his other collegiate suitors, it will be interesting to see how Maryland’s coaching staff responds.

Will they attempt to sign a 5th player for their 2010 class, or will they save that 5th scholarship for the 2011 class?

With CJ Leslie still unsigned, you would have to guess Maryland would again put the full-court press on him, until his intentions had become clear.

Maryland’s 2010 recruiting class is already very strong. If by the end of this coming week, the Terps have added Harris, and Pankey; it has all the makings of a Top 5 class overall.

Let us dream a second about how the Terps would shape up next season with Harris, and Pankey added to the existing recruits of Stolgin, Ross, and Parker.

2010-11
1) Bowie, Stoglin
2) Tucker, Ross
3) Mosley, Parker, JSC
4) Harris, Gregory, Pankey
5) Williams, Padgett, Goins

Expectations would rightfully be very high.
