Uehara left Saturday’s game with hamstring tightness, the same injury he dealt with in Spring Training.
As he has been effective, you would hate to see him have to be placed on the DL.
With some mystery still surrounding the call-up forthcoming to replace Eaton in the rotation Tuesday, having to possibly replace Uehara would only add additional intrigue.
Today, it seemed likely that with Davide Hernandez pitching 7 innings last night, that the replacement for Eaton would be between Patton, and Berken.
With Tillman leaving the game early tonight, some believe he will be getting the call.
If Uehara is placed on the DL, I am confident that Hernandez would be replacing him.
If Uehara is DL’d, one side benefit is that it would allow him to rest-up, and possibly improve his chances of completing the season for the Orioles.
