Baltimore Orioles Baseball
Another look at Adam Eaton
Eaton went 4innings today, allowing 1ER, with 1bb, and 2 k's.That gives him a total of 7innings, with 7hits, and 3er allowed in his two combined outings. While that is an effective 7 innings, I continue to miss why the O's would bring him North.Eaton turned 31 in...
MLB Network scroll on Wieters
The bottom scroll on the MLB Network states that the Baltimore Sun is reporting that Orioles President of Baseball Operations Andy MacPhail states that Wieters is likely to start in AAA.... I have checked out The Sun's site, but can not find those comments.
USA scores 3 in the 9th, comes back to beat Puerto Rico 6-5
Brian Roberts had a great at-bat, working out of an 0-2 hole to JC Romero, and singling up the middle. It was the type of at-bat, that screams post-season esque baseball.... he then had a very important steal of 2nd base.Watching the US team explode after the victory...

Wieters staying?
I have made no secret that I think Wieters should be sent down to start 2009, and brought up April 17th to gain a full extra year of service-time with the Orioles. To me, when you do not expect to contend, it is a no-brainer to have another year of his prime vs 3 weeks...
The argument of extending Wieters now
The O's are expected to send Wieters to AAA to start 2009, and not promote him until April 17th - which guarantees that he will not be arbitration eligible until after 2012, or a Free Agency until after 2015.Jon Wilt, a columnist for Orioles Hangout, said it best last...
