Baltimore Orioles Baseball

Last-night, Jim Johnson earned his 4th win, but that only occurred because he blew his 5th save. Expecting perfection is not realistic, but Johnson does not get enough K's to be a closer. His hard-biting sinker makes him perfect in the 8th, but you need a pitcher with...

The future of the Baltimore Orioles was on full-display last night at Camden Yards, as the battery of Chris Tillman, and Matt Wieters combined to give the Birds the win. Tillman had 95 pitches over 6.2 innings, allowing 5 hits, 1 er, 1 bb, with no k's. People might...

Matt Wieters was 3 for 4, with a walk, his 6th homer, and 5 rbi tonight against Tampa. Wieters came into tonight, with an OPS under .700; so it would be great to see him go on a bit of run these remaining 18 games. Even if that does occur to end 2009, I fully expect...

The ability of the O's to improve quickly in the immediate horizon, is tied to the abilities of their young-arms. You can not teach experience, you can only learn from. Consider tonight a major learning experience for Chris Tillman. NY and Boston are always going to...

As the weather cools, and the attention turns to the pigskin; it is easy to forget about the O's. While I am looking forward to seeing the Terps rebound on Saturday, and all attention will be with the Ravens on Sunday - the O's are going to start an interesting series...
